Biography

Stanley M. Ross is a native of Clarksville, Tennessee. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and graduated from the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. He began his law practice in Clarksville in 2007.

Mr. Ross’s practice is focused mainly on real estate, transactional and business matters and general civil litigation arising from those areas. He also represents clients in various zoning and land use matters and regularly appears before the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission, the Clarksville City Council, and the Montgomery County Commission. Mr. Ross has successfully argued in Tennessee’s appellate courts and was lead counsel on a case that resulted in the Tennessee Supreme Court’s recognition of regulatory takings as a compensable claim under the Tennessee Constitution.

Mr. Ross is active in the local community. He has served as a director for the Kiwanis Club of Clarksville and the Two Rivers Company. He has served as a director and president of the Montgomery County Bar Association and as a member of the Tennessee Bar Association House of Delegates.
